Serving the Children of the World

Welcome To The Fun!

Located in sunny Vista, California, the KIWANIS OF SUNRISE VISTA is a community service group dedicated to helping children in the Vista community. Our members volunteer their time with a number of local organizations such as STAND UP FOR KIDS, BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF VISTA, GREEN OAK RANCH, NEW HAVEN YOUTH & FAMILY SERVICES, RADY CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, BROTHER BENNO'S and SAVE VISTA MUSIC.

A recent recipient of our Student of the Month Award

We encourage and support children through our own community programs, including BRINGING UP GRADES (BUGS), our book TREASURE CHEST, high school scholarships, and Student of the Month awards. Through our Sponsored Youth committee we sponsor five KEY CLUBS (KIWANIS EMPOWERING YOUTH) - at Vista High School, Tri-City Christian, Mission Vista High School, Rancho Buena Vista High School and Trade Tech.

Established in 1925, KEY CLUB is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. Members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing and organizing food drives. They also learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district and international levels.

A portion of the funds we raise go to help meet Kiwanis International objectives which focus on the special needs of young children from prenatal development to age five. We serve by sponsoring fund raising activities, which provide monetary support for children’ programs and through personal involvement in the giving of our time and skills.

Anyone interested in serving others will feel very welcome here.
